Steep Update 1.02 Tomorrow on PS4 & PC Brings Exploit Fixes, Progression Page
Following 30 minutes of maintenance early tomorrow, December 22, Ubisoft will release Steep update 1.02 on PlayStation 4 and PC. The Xbox One version of the update will go live on December 23.
Along with numerous bug fixes, the update will also fix an exploit involving the minimum jump time needed to start scoring, as well as an exploit where players were able to go back up the mountain to score tricks if they didn’t move on to the next checkpoint. In terms of new features/additions, you can expect a controller page in the menu on PS4 and Xbox One, a progression page in the menu, the ability to teleport to another player in their group directly from Mountain View by selecting him/her with the cursor, and the ability to change ambiance in Mountain View by pressing down on the d-pad. Exploits Fixed
A system now informs players when they don?t move on to the next checkpoint after a pre-set amount of time, preventing them from being able to go back up the mountain to score tricks.
The minimum jump time needed to start scoring is now higher, which no longer allows repetitive scoring via ?mini-tricks? on flat areas.
New Additions
Addition of a controller page in the menu on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One
Addition of a contextual tooltip about switch at low level
Background music added to the Sony Live Area (PS4)
Players now have the possibility to preview items while browsing in the Rider page
