Announced last week, DLC fighter Sub-Zero is making his way to Injustice 2 on July 11, according to a tweet by Ed Boon.

In his usual style, Boon teased in a separate tweet that he was merely stating “Winter is coming in July” followed by the hashtag #IsAnyoneBuyingThat. However, we already know that the character is supposed to land next month so it’s safe to assume that he’s just joking around in the second tweet (update: he has now confirmed that Sub-Zero is indeed coming on July 11). In case you missed it, you can check out the previously released trailer for Sub-Zero above. He comes with the following description:
Sub-Zero is a lethal cryomancer and leader of the reformed Lin Kuei clan. When Sub-Zero was younger, the Lin Kuei were corrupted and destroyed from within, staining their honor.
Boon also reiterated that Starfire is next.
