Take a Look at a Prototype of The Flash Game for PS3 That Was Cancelled

Folks behind Unseen64, an online archive that delves into video game history, have released a brand new video (above) showcasing The Flash‘s cancelled open-world game. Not only does the video offer some interesting insight and background into its production but it also shows prototype footage so make sure to check it out.
We’ve learned that the game was being developed by Bottlerocket Entertainment, a now defunct third-party studio that comprised of former Sony San Diego staff members. Warner Brothers was also involved in the project as it held the license for DC Comics? franchise and character Wally West. “In its earliest stages, the developers even considered having cameos from other super heroes such as Batman and Superman,” reads the video’s description. The Flash was in development for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii.
As for Bottlerocket Entertainment, the studio closed down in September 2009 after months of struggle. Titles under its belt include 2005’s Rise of the Kasai and 2006’s Xiaolin Showdown for the PS2.
