The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III is PS4 Exclusive
The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel III will buck the series’ tradition of releasing on PlayStation 3 and Vita, as the upcoming Japanese role-playing game will exclusively release on PlayStation 4. This news was announced during developer Falcom’s shareholders meeting, and a fact sheet can be seen online (although it’s in Japanese). It’s currently set to release in Japan in Fall of 2017.
Here’s an outline of the game’s plot, courtesy of Gematsu:
Septian Calendar 1206. The end of the civil war led to the turning point of a new era for the Erebonian Empire. Centering on Rean Schwarzer as the ?Ashen Chevalier,? the young man who came to be seen as a hero within the country, a new story of young heroes will unfold. The third title in the role-playing game trilogy takes place a year and a half after its predecessor, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II.
