Ubisoft reported its sales and earnings figures for the first half of the current fiscal year today. The developer announced an “excellent” performance marked by “an even more profitable and recurring profile.”
Sales exceeded targets and amounted to ?281.4 million, out of which 72 percent was attributed to the digital segment. Operating loss was reduced to ?61.8 million from  ?107.8 million loss incurred during the same period last year. The company now has net cash amounting to  ?37.7 million as opposed to a debt of ?155.5 million.
In a press release, CEO Yves Guillemot also revealed that The Crew, The Division and Rainbow Six Siege each have over ten million registered players, which Ubisoft believes demonstrates it effective execution of business plans. Our excellent performance in the second quarter as well as the sharp improvement in our profitability during the first six months of the fiscal year are proof that we have gotten both our digital strategy and our approach to multiplayer games right. The Crew, The Division and Rainbow Six Siege each have more than 10 million registered players, demonstrating that we are effectively executing our business development plan and moving towards an ever-more recurring model.
