You’ll Have to Download 9GB Call of Duty: WWII Update 1.02 to Play the Campaign



Some lucky players got their hands on early copies of Call of Duty: WWII only to find out that they weren’t able to play the first-person shooter. While clearly it’s normal for multiplayer offerings to not be playable before a game launches, it did raise some red flags that the campaign wasn’t playable. It’s now been enabled, however, thanks to a 9GB Call of Duty: WWII update 1.02.
The hefty update makes it so that the game’s campaign mode works. So, if you purchase a copy of Sledgehammer Games’ first-person shooter when it releases on Friday, November 3, you’ll have to download the 9GB update before you can jump into the game. While it’s definitely an inconvenience, there have certainly been larger day-one patches in the past. It really just signals how the gaming world is constantly changing, and is vastly different than even a decade ago.
